RESOLUTION NO. 10 -a-
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Lease
Contract by and between the Roy G. Davis Company of Los Angeles,
California, party of the first part, and the City of Newport
Beach, party of the second part, dated October 28th, 1940; and
WHEREAS, said Lease Contract provides that the
first party sells to the party of the second part, one recondition. -I
ed standard American La Fiance Type 75, 750 gallon Triple
Combination Pumping Engine and Hose Car, equipped with 100 gallon
Water Tank, Register No. 5145, Engine No. 3335, etc., for the
sum of $3540.00, in the following manner: $295.00 on the 10th
day of each month for 12 months until said total purchase price
shall have been paid; and
WHEREAS, said City Council of the city of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the beat interests of said city that
said lease contract be entered into upon the terms and conditions
therein set forth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, instructed and authorized to execute said Lease Contract
In the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach, and
that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the
party of the first part therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolu-
tion was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council
of the city of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting
thereof held on the 28th day of October, 1940, by the following
