RESOLUTION NO. 14 ^ '

2 WHEREAS, DELLA BENSON and ELLEN BENSON, mother and
3 daughter, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
4 sum of $150.00 for Lot 17, Block 331, Corona del Max, in the City
5 of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41
6
and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California,
7 and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12
property be sold for the said sum of $150.00; and
13
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14,
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15
above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17
sold to the said Della Benson and Ellen Benson, mother and daughter;
18
for the sin of $150.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject
19
to the second half of the taxes for the fiscal year 1940 -41. Also
20
subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. .

The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed
22
to execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties
23
upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $15.00 be paid
25
to Gerald W. Ritchie, as and for his commission for the negotiating
26
of the sale of said real property to Della Benson and Ellen Benson,
27
mother and daughter, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
28
reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale and said broker
29
being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 17th day of February, 1941, by the following vote,
to -wit:
