WEEREASt GEORGE* PECK, a married man, has thid day

offered to the CITY OF NE17PORT BEACH, the sum of x$75.00 for Lot 9,
4
lock 640, Corona del Ya.r, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on
5
a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps,
6
records of Orange County, California; and
7
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS,' the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $75.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said George X. Peck, a married man, for the sum of
18 $$75.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes
19 for the fiscal year 1941 -42 and unpaid improvement assessments of
20 record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations
21 of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized
22 and directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to
23 the said party upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $15.75 be
25 paid to G. N. Ritchie, as and for his commission for the negotiatir
26 of the sale of said real property to George 11. Peck, a married man,
27 said sum being a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in
28 said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City
29 of Newport Beach.
30 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
31 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
