WHEREAS, GEORGE E. ARCHER and CORNELIA E. ARCHER, husband

and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
4
sum of $550.00 for Lot 2, Block 329, Corona del Azar, in the City of
5
Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 4
.6
of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
7
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $550,00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said George E. Archer and Cornelia E. Archer, husband
R 18 and wife, for the sum of $550.00, free and clear of all encumbran-
19 ces, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42 and unpaid
20 improvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
21 restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
22 Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a
23 deed.for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
24 consideration above set forth.
25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $137.50 be paid
26 to.Earl Stanley, as and for his commission for the negotiating of
27 the sale of said real property to the said George E. Archer and
28 Cornelia E. Archer, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a
29 fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale and
30 said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 19th day of May, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit:
