2 WHEREAS, GERALD try. RITCHIE and BEULAH B. RITCHIE, husband
3 and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
4 sum of $1200.00 for Lots 2, 4, 6, $, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18 and 20,

including vacated portion of Carnation Avenue adjoining, in Block
6
331, Corona del Mar, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages
7
41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
8
California; and

WHEREAS, the said price is a f air and adequate price
10
as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
11 WHEREAS, theCity Council of the City of Newport Beach
12
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that waid
13
property be sold for the said sum of $1200.00; and
14
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
18
sold to the said Gerald W. Ritchie and Beulah B. Ritchie, husband
19
and wife, for the sum of $1200.00, free and clear of all encumbran-
20
ces subject to the taxes f$r the fiscal year 1941 -42 and unpaid
21
improvement assessments of record. Also subject to conditions,
22
23 restricted and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a
24
deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the
25
consideration above set forth.

27 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $300.00 be paid
28 to G. W. Ritchie, as and for his commission for the negotiating of

` 29 the sale of said real property to Gerald W. Ritchie and Beulah B.
30 Ritchie, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
31 easonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
32 sing a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 19th day of May, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit:
