17HEREAS, KARL H. SMITH and BETTY SiITH, husband and wife,

have this day offered to the CITY OF 1,TErtPORT BEACH, the sum of

5 $350.00 for Lots 11 and 13, Block 432, Corona del Liar, in the
City of Newport Beach, as shown on a ;✓ap recorded in Book 3, pages
6
7 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Plops, records of Orange County,
8 California; and
14HEREAS, the said ;)rice is a fair and adequate price
9
10 as and for the purchase price of said lots; and

MEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ne7port Beach

12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
13 property be sold for the said sum of $350.00; and
14 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
15 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
16 above described.
17! NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be

18� sold to the said Karl H. Smith and Betty Smith, husband and wife,
19 for the sum of $350.00; free and clear of all encumbrances, subject
20 to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42 and unpaid improvement
21I assessments of record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions
22 and reservations of record. The L'ayor and the City Clerk are
23 hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed
24 for said property to the said _parties upon receipt of the
25 consideration above set forth.
26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $57.50 be paid
27 to Ralph P. Maskey, as and for his commission for the negotiating
28 of the sale of said. real property to Karl H. Smith and Betty Smith
29 his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and reasonable
30 commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being a
31 licensed realtor of the City of idcwport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
