HomeMy WebLinkAbout2312 - Sale of Property to Ed & Marcella Gilln • 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RESOLUTION N0. a.31� '-'HEREAS, ED GILL and MARCELLA GILL, husband and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of w200.00 for the following described property: Lots 1 and 2 in Block 529 of "Lancaster's Addition to Newport Beach ", as shown on a Nap recorded in Book 5, page 14of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California. Excepting therefrom that portion as follows: Beginning at the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 1; thence along the Westerly line of said Lots 1 and 2 to a point 2.28 feet Northerly of the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 2; thence North 690 15130" East along a line parallel with the Northerly line of 31st Street and 30 feet distant therefrom 14.97 feet to a point the beginning of a curve; thence Southeasterly around a circular curve with a radius of 235 feet to a point in the Easterly line of said Lot 1, which point is 15.43 feet Northerly of the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 1; thence Southerly along the Easterly line of said Lot 1, 15.43 feet to the Southeasterly corner of said Lot 1; thence South 89° 15130" 'Rest along the Southerly line of said Lot 1 and along the Northerly line of 31st Street to the Southwesterly corner of said Lot 1, the point of beginning. WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as and for the purchase price of said property; and 'sIHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Heath deems that it is for the best interest of said City that said property be sold for the said sum of 4"200.00; and WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adqquate and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property above described. NOW, THER7FORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be cold to the said Ed Gill and Marcella Gill, husband and wife, for the sum of 5200.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Ifayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon receipt of the consideration above set forth. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of d+20.00 be ?aid to C. F. I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of June, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit: AYii:S, COUNCILMEN: Reed, Claire, Brown, Gordon.
