• 3 I WHEREAS, Mary H. Gilson and Ellen Hughes, as joint
4 tenants and owners of Lot 102, Tract 949, as shown on a Map recor
5 i Book 30, page 7 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
6 California, have this day deeded to the City of Newport Beach said
711 described property with the understanding and agreement that the
811City of Newport Beach would deed to them Lot 10, Tract No, 652,
9ilCorona del Mar, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 20, page 19 of
10 Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, Californiap and
11 WHEREAS, it appears that said properties are of equal
12 market value and that said Lot 102 in Tract 945 is of greater
13 benefit and use to the City of Newport Beach and that it is for the
14 best interests and benefit of said City of Newport Beach that said
15 exchange be made.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Newport
17 Beach make, execute and deliver to the said Mary H. Gilson and
18 Ellen Hughes, a corporation grant deed covering Lot 10.; Tract No,
19 692 above described, in exchange for said Lot 102, in Tract 945.
201 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the market value of said
21 properties is equal and that it is for the best interests and
22 benefit of said City that such exchange be made and that the City
2311 of Newport Beach receive Lot 102, Tract 949, aforesaid.
2411 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the consideration for said
25 exchange of properties is in all respects fair, just and adequate.
2611 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk
2711 of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed,
28 instructed and authorized to execute said deed in the name of
29 and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed aril adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 16th day of June, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit:
