WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2207 the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach approved the sale of Lot 9, Block 40,
River Section in the Dity of Newport Beach to BROOKS E. TRIPPETT
and MARGARET B. TRIPPETT, husband and wife, for the sum of $150.00;
and
WHEREAS, the said purchasers were unable to pay the
purchase price of $150.00 and have rescinded said sale and asked
that said sale be canceled, and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
believe it is for the best interest and benefit of said City
that said sale be canceled and declared of no further force or
effect for any purpose whatever; and
WHEREAS, the deposit of $5.00 made by said purchasers
has been returned to them; now
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the certain sale of the
property above mentioned to the persons above mentioned be and
the same is hereby rescinded and declared of no further force or
effect for any purpose whatever; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said Resolution No. 2207
of said City Council be and the same is hereby rescinded.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
Resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof
held on the 7th day of July, 1941 by the following vote, to —wit:
