RESOLUTION NO. ry
2, WHEREAS, JOHN A. GILLIS and HANNAH �TLLIS, husband and
3 wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum
4 of 4150,00 for Lot 16, Block 129, Lake Tract, in the City of
5 Newport Beach, as shown on a. Map recorded in Book 4, page lj of
6 Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
7 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11 property be sold for the said sum of $150.00; and
12 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14 above described.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16 sold to the said John A. Gillis and Hannah sillis, husband and
17 wife, for the sum of 9150.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
18 subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42. Also subject
19 to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor
20 and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
21 and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
22 receipt of the consideration above set, forth.
23 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $15.00 be paid
24 to C. F. Dennison, as and for his commission for the negotiating
25 of the sale of said real property to John A. Gillis and Hannah
26 Gillis, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
27 reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
28 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resoluticn
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council -of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
4th day of August, 1941, by the following vote, to —wit:
