3 WHHEREAS, GERALD W. RITCHIE, a married man, has this day
4 offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $380.00 for Lots
5 19 and 21, Block 539, Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach,
6 as shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscell-
7 aneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; and
8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $380.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate and
14 is not disproportionate to the real value of the property above
15 described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said Gerald W. Ritchie, acmarried man, for the sum of
18 $380.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes
19 for the fiscal year 1941 -42 and unpaid improvement assessments of
20 record. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations
21 of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized to
22 execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said party
23 upon receipt of the consideration above set forth.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $95.00 be paid
25 to G; W. Rittihie, as and for his commission for the negotiating of
26 the sale of said real property to Gerald W. Ritchie, a married man,
27 said sum being a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in
28 said sale, and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of
29 Newport Beach.

2 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
3 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
4 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
5 6th day of October, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit:
