D,4 Y] WHEREAS, CATHERINE A. SMITH, a married woman, has this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $7500.00 for the following described property: and Lot "A" of Tract No. 919, as shown on a Map recorded In Book 29, pages 31. 32 33 and 34 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California; excepting those portions thereof described as follows, to -wit: 1st. The Southeasterly 935.78 feet of said Lot; said 938.78 feet being measured along the Northeasterly line of the State Highway, as shown on said Map, and the Northwesterly line of said Southeasterly 938.78 feet being parallel with the Southeasterly line of said lot; 2nd. The Northwesterly 100 feet of the Southwesterly 170 feet of said Lot, as conveyed to Jack H. Wigal by deed recorded February 2nd, 1938; 3rd. The Southeasterly 35 feet of the Northwesterly 135 feet of the Southwesterly 150 feet of said lot. WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as and for the purchase price of said property; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems that it is for the beat interests of said City that said property be sold for the said sum of $7500.00; and WHEREAS, the price offered is gust, fair and adequate and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property above described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be sold to the said Catherine A. Smith, a married woman, for the sum of $7500.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for said property to the said party upon receipt of the consideration above set forth. WHEREAS, CATHERINE A. SMITH, a married woman, has this day offered to the CITY OF NEW ?OnT BEACH, the sum of 67500.00 for the following described property: That portion of Lot "A" of "Tract No. 91911, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 29, pages 31.32.33 and 34 of Miscellaneous Maps,records of Orange County, California, desoribed as follows, to -wit:- Beginning at a point on the Northerly line of the State Highway as shown on said map (said point being in the Southerly line of said Lot "A "), distant thereon 1238.78 feet North - westerly, measured along said Northerly line, from the most Southerly corner of said Lot "A ", and running thence from said point of beginning North 39 043'30" East and parallel with the South - easterly line of said lot, 512.00 feet to a point; thence North - westerly in a straight line 695.79 feet to a point in the center line of San Bernardino Avenue (as shown on said map) North - easterly, measured along said center line, 675.00 feet from the inter - section of said center line with the North - westerly extension of th Southerly line of said Lot "A "; thence South - westerly along said center line of San 3ernardino Avenue 675.00 feet to its intersection with the North - westerly exten- sion of the Southerly line of said Lot "A ", and thence South- easterly along the said extended line and along said Southerly line of said Lot "A ", 578.85 feet to the point of beginning. Excepting those portions thereof described as follows, to -wit:- let. The North - westerly 100 feet of the South - westerly 170 feet of said lot as conveyed to Jack H. Wigal by deed recorded February 2nd, 1938- 2nd. The South - easterly 35 feet of the North - westerly 135 feet of the South - westerly 150 feet of said lot. Subject to rights of way of record. WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as and for the purchase price of said property; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said property be sold for the said sum of X7500.00; and WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property above described. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be sold to the said Catherine A. Smith, a married woman, for the sum of 0500.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42.
