RESOLUTION
1 WHEREAS, ROY L. SHAFER and MARION F. SHAFER, husband and
2 wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum
3 of 8400.00 for Lots 10 and 11, Block 431, Lancasterts Addition,
4 in the City of Newport Reach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book
5 5, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County,
6 California; and
7 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
8 as and for the purchase price of said lots; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11 property be sold for the said sum of X400.00; and
12 WHEREAS, the price offered is Just, fair and adequate
13 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14 above described.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16 sold to the said. Roy L. Shafer and Marion F. Shafer, husband and
17 wife, for the sum of 4400.00, free and clear of all encumbrances,
18 subJect to the taxes for the fiscal year 1941 -42. Also subject to
19 conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor.
20 and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
21 and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
22 receipt of the consideration above set forth.
23 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
24 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
25 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
26 the 3rd day of November, 1941, by the following vote, to -wit:
