WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, a Municipal
corporation of the sixth class,of Orange County, California, has
this day sold to FAY D. CRANDALL, an unmarried woman, as her own
separate property, the following described real property situated
in the city of Newport Beach, County of Orange, state of California
and more particularly described as follows, to -wit:
Lot 15, Tract No. 682, as shown on a Map recorded
in Book 20, page 19 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California.
And WHEREAS, the consideration for said transfer is the
transfer by the said Fay D. Crandall to the city of Newport Beach
of the following described real property situated in the city of
Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and more
particularly described as follows, to-wit-
Lot 19, Block 742, Corona Del Mar, as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California,
SUBJECT to second half of 1941 -1942 taxes and
assessmentsof record;
and the payment in addition to the above mentioned transfer, of
the sum of $125.00 this day paid to the City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, the purchase price aforesaid, in the opinion and
judgment of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, is
fair, just and adequate and it is for the best interests of said
City that said exchange of properties be made upon the payment
by said Fay D. Crandall to the city of Newport Beach of the sum
of $125.00 aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
11 the City of Newport Beach, that the City of Newport Beach sell
the above mentioned real property, described as Lot 15, Tract No.
682, City of Newport Beach,to the said Fay D. Crandall, for the
following consideration, to -wit:

The transfer to the city of Newport Beach, a municipal
corporation of the sixth class of Orange County, California,
by the said Fay D. Crandall, of all that certain real property
situated in the city of Newport Beach, County of Orange, state of
California, and more particularly described as follows:
Lot 19, Block 742, Corona Del Mar, as shown
on a map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42
of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California,
SUBJECT to second half of 1941 -1942 taxes, and
assessments of record,
and the payment to the city of Newport Beach by the said Fay D.
Crandall, of the sum of $125.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
pay a commission to Gerald W. Ritchie, a licensed real estate
operator of the city of Newport Beach, of the sum of $31.25, said
sum being a reasonable and fair commission to be allowed to said
realtor for his services in making the sale of said real property
from the city of Newport Beach to the said Fay D,Crandall.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
2nd day of March, 1942,
