RESOLUTION N0, 1
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Option for
Lease wherein the City of Newport Beach is the party of the first
part, and the South Coast Company, a corporation, is the party
of the second part; and
WHEREAS, said option provides that the first party
agrees to lease to the second party on or before July 31st, 1942,
orr the conditions, covenants and agreements in said option set
forth, all that certain real property situated in the City of
Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and more
particularly described as follows:
All of Lots 3, 4, 51 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 in Block 117,
as shown upon a map of Section B, Newport Beach, recorded in
Book 4, page 27 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange
County, California, and a parcel of land being a portion of
Lot 4, Section 33, Township 6 South, Range 10 West, S.B. B. & M.
and a certain filled tidelands described as follows, to- -w-it:
Beginning at the southeasterly corner of Lot 18,
Block 218, as shown upon a map of Section B, Newport Beach,
recorded in Book 4, page 27 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records
of Orange County, California; running thence northerly along
the easterly prolongation of said line to an intersection with
the U.S. Government bulkhead line between Station 118 and
Station 119, as said bulkhead line is shown upon a map entitled
"Harbor Lines, Newport Bay, Newport Harbor, California ",
approved May 2nd, 1936, by the Secretary of War, and on file
in the office of the U. S. District Engineer of Los Angeles,
California; thence easterly along said bulkhead line to an
intersection with the northerly prolongation of the easterly

line of Lot 13, Block 115, as shown upon a map of Tract
No, 234, recorded in Book 13, pages 36 and 37 of
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said County; thence
southerly along the said Northerly prolongation of
the easterly line of said Lot 13 to an intersection with
a line 20 feet northerly of and parallel with the north-
erly line of said Block 115; thence westerly in a direct
line to the point of beginning.
And WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach deems that it is for the best interests of the City of
Newport Beach, and the United States of America, that said Option
be granted to the party of the second part, upon the terms and
conditions and for the consideration therein mentioned,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
City Clerk of the city of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
directed, authorized to execute said Option in the name of the
city of Newport Beach,
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City. Council of
ad ourned
the city of Newport Beach at al/regular meeting thereof held on the
day of March, 1942, by the following vote, to- -twit:
