3 WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has this day received
4 a Grant Deed from Clyan H. Hall and Marjorie G. Hall, his wife,
5 as joint tenants, covering that certain real property situated
6 in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of Califon
7 and more particularly described as follows, to —wit:
8 The Southwesterly rectangular 14 feet of Lot 20
9 in Block 435, of Corona Del Mar, as shown on a
Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of
10 Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,
California.
11 TOGETHER with the right of way for alley and
12 public utility purposes; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
14 has agreed to give as consideration for said deed that certain
15 1 real property situated in the City of Newport Beach, County of
16 II Orange, State of California., and more particularly described as
follows, to -wit:
18 The Southwesterly rectangular fourteen t14) feet
of Lot 22, Block 435, Corona del Mar, as shown on
19 a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County,Qalifornia.

21 And WHEREAS, in the opinion and judgment of the City
22 Council of the City of Newport Beach, the exchange of the propertie
23 herein mentioned is in all respects fair and gust and that said
24 properties are of equal market value, and itis further the opinion
25 and judgment of the City Council that the consideration received
26 for the deed from Clyan H. Hall and Marjorie G. Hall, his wife,
27 to the City of Newport Beach, is in all respects fair, just and
Al28 equitable, and that it is for the best interests of said City
29 that the exchange be made as herein contemplated.

3111 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Newport
32 1IBeach sell to the said Clyan H. Hall and Marjorie G. Hall, his wife

2 City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and
` 3 more particularly described as follows, to —wit:

5 of Lot 22, Block 435, Corona del Mar, as shown on
a map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Mis—
6 cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
7 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City of Newport Beach
8 receive as full compensation for the real property described in
9 the previous paragraph that certain real property situated in
10 the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California,
11 and more particularly described as follows, to —wit:
12 The Southwesterly rectangular 14 feet of Lot 20
in Block 435, of Corona del Mar, as shown on a
13 map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
14 Together with the right of way for alley and public
15 utility purposes.

17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that it is the opinion of the
I8 City Council of the City of Newport Beach that it is for the
I9 best interests of said city of Newport Beach that the exchange
20 of the properties herein mentioned be made,
21 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk of
22 the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed,
23 authorized and instructed to execute said deed from the city to
24 Clyan H. Hall and Marjorie G. Hall, his wife, on behalf of the
25 City of Newport Beach.
26 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
27 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
It28 the city of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
29 iheld on the 21st day of April, 1942, by he following vote, to —wit.
