RESOLUTION NO.��
WHEREAS, one OHBA LORENE McFARLAND, a married woman,
offered to the City of Newport Beach the sum of $225.00 for Lot 2,
Block 135, Lake Tract, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on
a Map recorded in Book 4, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
of Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach by Resolution No.
12340, duly passed and adopted, accepted said offer of Orba Lorene
McFarland, a married woman; and
WHEREAS, said Orba Lorene McFarland has only paid on
account of the purchase price aforesaid, the sum of $22.50, and
has wholly failed, neglected and refused to pay the balance of
$202.50, although demand has been made upon her on numerous
occasions to pay the balance due as aforesaid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said Resolution
No. 2340 aforesaid, be and the same is hereby rescmnded and
declared of no further force or effect for any purpose whatever.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sale of said property
heretofore mentioned, to the said Orba Lorene McFarland a
married woman, be, and the same is hereby cancelled as of this
date, and the moneys heretofore paid thereon by the said Orba
Lorene McFarland, to the City of Newport Beach, are hspeby
declared to be forfeited to the said City of Newport Beach for
the failure of said Orba Lorene McFarland to pay the balance of
said purchase price aforesaid.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
