WHEREAS, the Navy Department, United States Coast Guard, has this day presented to the City of Newport Beach a form of invitation or bid wherein the City of Newport Beach has offered to lease to the United States Government certain city owned real property located in the city of NewportBeach, County of Orange, State of California, and more particularly described as follows: Beginning at a point in the southerly line of California State Highway ORA -60 -B, which point is six (6) feet easterly from State Highway Station 8 4 12.59; running thence South 390 West, 190 feet, more or less, to an intersection with U. S. Bulkhead line between Station No. 129 and Station No. 130; thence South 690 East along said Bulkhead line 150 feet; thence North 390 East, 100 feet; thence South 690 East 44 feet; thence North 390 East, 138 feet, more or less, to an intersection with the southerly line of said State Highway; thence westerly along the southerly line of said State Highway 206 feet, more or less, to the point of beginning. And WHEREAS, said bid of said City offers to lease d premises above described for use by the United States Coast as a location of a station for patrol boats of the United tea Coast Guard in Newport Bay at a rental of $600.00 per annum, e in monthly installment of $50.00; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach 24 believes that it is for the best interests of said city that said 25 premises be leased to said United States of America for the purposes 26 set forth in said bid, and that under present War conditions that 27 the consideration offered is fair, dust and adequate, and that 28 the location of said Coast Guard in the City of Newport Beach will 29 assist the United States Government in the successful prosecution 30 IIOf the present war. 0 31II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is for the best 32 Ilinterests and welfare of the City of Newport Beach and the residen LAW OFFICES OF ROLAND THOMPSON 2I0 SPURGEON BLDG.
