WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City

Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain Store Lease dated
5
July 20, 19423, between Sadie M. Irwin, party of the first pert,
6
and City of Newport Beach, party of the second part; and
7
WHEREAS, said lease provides that the first party leases
8
to the second party that certain storeroom known as No. 110
9
McFadden Place, located on the Northeast corner of McFadden Place
10
and Court Street in the city of Newport Beach, Orange County,
11
California, to be used for general city business, for the sum of
12
$15,00 per month, and for a period to commence as of the 20th day
13
of July, 1942, and to continue for the duration of the war and
14
for thirty days thereafter; and
15
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport Beach

deems that it is for the best interests of said City and the
I7
inhabitants thereof that said lease be entered into upon the terms
I8
and conditions and for the consideration therein set forth,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City
20
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
21
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said store lease
22
in the name of and on behalf of the city of Newport Beach,
23

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
25
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
26
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
27
held on the 28th day of July, 1942, by the following vote, to-wit:
