HomeMy WebLinkAbout2647 - Care & Dispose of Stray Dogs1 RESOLUTION N0._ 2 M 3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City 4 Council of the city of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated 5 the 3rd day of August, 1942, wherein the City of Newport Beach 6 is referred to as the party of the first part, and Dr. S. H. Walke3 7 dine is referred to as the party of the second part; and 8 WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the first party 9 hires and retains the second party for the purpose of having 10 said second party care for and dispose of stray doge which may 11 be delivered to the second party by the Chief of Police of the 12 City of Newport Beach under Ordinance No. 473 of the city of 13 Newport Beach; and 14 WHEREASj it is the opinion and judgment of the City Council 15 of the City of Newport Beach that the city has not the proper I6 facilities at this time to handle stray dogs, and that it is for I7 the best interest of the city of Newport Beach and the inhabitants I8 thereof, that said agreement be entered into with than party of the I9 second part, under the terms and for the consideration therein 20 set forth. 21 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City 22 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby 23 directed, instructed and authorized to execute said agreement in 24 the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, 25 26 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution 27 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of 28 29 the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 3rd day of August, 1942, by the following vote, to =wit: 30 AYES, COUNCI MEN: 31 TTEST: S = 32 NOES, COUNCILMEN: �01ft P- e r LAW FILES OF3 " ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: T1 P- ROLAND TN OtS N 210 SPUR '.0' 16r..: yor SANTA ANA CALIF.
