HomeMy WebLinkAbout2650 - Light & Lighting Regulations• 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 91 10 11 12 13 14 15 I6 I7 I8 I9 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 RES04UTION N0. .s WHEREAS, the Chief of Police of the city of Newport Beach has, pursuant to Section S of Ordinance No.$3" of said city, submitted to the City Council certain rules and regulations concerning lights and lighting within the corporate limits of the city of Newport Beach, which rules and regulations have been promulgated by said Chief of Police for the purpose of enabling him to conform to the orders and directions of the Director of the Ninth Civilian Defense Region, which rules and regulations are dated the .5th day of At1942; and WHEREAS, in the judgment of the City Council of the city of Newport Beach said rules and regulations so submitted to the City Council by the Chief of Police aforesaid, are in all respects reasonable and will, in the opinion and judgment of said City Council, enable the Chief of Police to conform to the orders and directions of the Director of the Ninth Civilian Defense Region, for the diminution of lighting within the corporate limits of the City of Newport Beach, whether in or out of doors, and which might endanger coast -wise shipping in the waters of the Eleventh Naval District, or which might endanger the defense of the waters within the Eleventh Naval District; and WHEREAS, it is further the opinion and judgment of the City Council of the city of Newport Beach that said rules and regulations so adopted and promulgated by the Chief of Police will assist materially in the successful prosecution of the war by the United States of America, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Newport Beach approves said rules and regulations so LAW OFFICES OF ROLAND THOMPSON 1 • 210 SPUR.EON BLOC.
