RESOLUTION NO.
WHEREAS, Horace A. Hall has offered the City of Newport
Beach $500.00 for the 26• -foot speed boat ZEPHYR, now owned by the
City of Newport Beach; and
WHEREAS, said bid appears to be the highest and best bid
for said boat and the market value thereof; and
WHEREAS, the sum of $800.00 is not disproportionate
to the actual market value of said boat, and it is the opinion
and Judgment of the City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach
that said offer is in all respects Just, fair and adequate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the offer of said
HORACE A. HALL, be and the same is hereby accepted, for the
purchase by the said Horace A. Hall of the speed boat Zephyr,
for the sum of $800.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Harbor Master, R. L.
Patterson, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to sell
said boat to the said Horace A. Hall for the sum of ObOO.00
and he is further authorized to give to said Horace A. Hall a
Bill of Sale to said boat on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at an adjourned regular meeting thereof
held on the 21st day of September, 1942, by the following vote:
