WHEREAS, PAUL E. DOUGHTY, a married
man, has this day

offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH,
the sum
of $175.00 for

I Lot 13, Block 140, Canal Section, in
the City
of Newport Beach,

as shown on a
Map
recorded in Book 4, page
98 of Miscellaneous

Maps, records
of
Orange County, California;
and
8 1 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12 property be sold for the said sum of $175.00; and
13 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15 above described.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17 sold to the said Paul E. Doughty, a married man, for the sum of
18 $175.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes
19 for the fiscal year 1942 -43. Also subject to conditions,
20 restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City
21 i;Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver
22 11a deed for said property to the said party upon receipt of the
23 11 consideration above set forth.

1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED:
That
the
sum of
$17.50 be

1 paid to Williamson & Williamson,
as and
for
their
commission
26 for the negotiating of the sale of said real property to Paul E.
27 Doughty, a married man, said sum being a fair and reasonable
28 commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being a
29 licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
30 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
31 was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
