3 WHEREAS, the following named City Employees of the
4 City of Newport Beach are entitled to a 2 -weeks vacation on pay,
5 to »wit:

13 shortage of labor in the city of Newport Beach, have been
14 compelled to forego said vacations and have worked for the city
15 of Newport Beach during said vacation time; and

judgment of the City

Council of the city of Newport Beach that each of the employees
18
above named should receive in addition to their regular compensa-
19
tion, the amounts which they would have received while on vacation
20
as follows:

12 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Salary Resolution
13 heretofore adopted by the City Council of the city of Newport
14 Beach be, and the same is hereby amended so as to provide for
15 the above named payments to the above named parties, the amounts
16 above specified, for the month of.November, 1942, which said
17 amounts are to be paid as of the first meeting of the City
18 Council in December, 1942.
19 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That said Salary Resolution

heretofore
referred
to shall remain in full
force
and effect

except as
the same
shall be hereby amended
by this
resolution,
