1 RESOLUTION NO.

3 WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
4 City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain contract
5 designated ORANGE COUNTY PEST CONTROL CONTRACT, dated the 12th
6 day of September, 1942, between the County of Orange and the
7 City of Newport Beach; and
8 WHEREAS, said contract provides that the City of
9 Newport Beach agrees to institute and prosecute operations to
10 control certain pests, to -wit, squirrels, from date of contract
11 to November 15, 1942, on city owned property and rights of way,
12 the County agreeing to furnish all materials and supervision,
13 and the city to
y rees g pay the County the cost of such materials
14
and to furnish the labor in the sum of $100,00; and
15 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport
16 Beach deems that it is for the best interests and advantage of
17
the citizens of the City of Newport Beach that said contract
18
be entered into, and that the terms and conditions therein set
19
forth are just and adequate.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and
21
City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
22
directed, authorized and instructed to execute said Contract in
23
the name of and on behalf of the city of Newt ortBeach,
24
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing
25
26 resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the
27 City Council of the City of Newport Beacb at a regular meeting
28 thereof held on the 2nd day of November, 1942, by the following
vote:
