RESOLUTION NO..�
WHEREAS, the City Council of the city of Newport
Beach did on the 3rd day of November, 1941, grant to one H. A.
Stevenson, a certain right and franchise to sell live bait on
the Balboa Pier, for the period of three (3) years, commencing
as of the 15th day of November, 1941, and ending as of the 14th
day of November, 1944, for the consideration and upon the terms
and conditions as set forth in said license agreement; and
WHEREAS, said H. A. Stevenson now desires to sell
and assign said license agreement to one Geo. C. Hiner, of
2iett port Beach, California; and
WHEREAS, there is a provision in said agreement
aforesaid, to the effect that said license agreement may not be
assigned or transferred, or any interest therein assigned or
transferred to any person whatever; and
WHEREAS, it appears that said Geo. C. Hiner, is in
all respects capable and competent of conducting the business
of selling live bait on said pier and has the confidence
of the City Council of the city of Newport Beach as a live bait
operator, having operated for many years on the Newport Pier.
NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the said H. A.
Stevenson be allowed and permitted to transfer all of his right,
title and interest in and to said agreement heretofore identified
in this resolution, to Geo. C. Hiner, of Newport Beach, California
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the assignment of
said agreement to said Geo. C. Hiner, that the said Geo. C. Hiner
shall thereafter be fully responsible under the terms and
conditions of said agreement aforesaid, and shall carefully
observe and perform all the terms and conditions of said
agreement on the part of said H. A. Stevenson to be kept, observed
and performed.
