BANTA ANA, CALIF. RESOLUTION NO. WHEREAS, the State of California, through its war Council and the Department of Finance, proposes to meet one -half of the expense incurred by cities and counties in the maintenance of Ground Observation Corps posts; and WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, California, for some time has been paying, and is still paying, the sum of $35.00 per month to maintain a Ground Observation Crops post situated within the city. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:that application be made in the manner provided for by law for funds to meet one -half of the maintenance costs of said Ground Observation Corps post as aforesaid, to -wit, the sum of $12.50 per month, commencing as of August 1, 1943. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That R. L. Patterson, City Engineer and Deputy Commander of Civilian Defense.in the city of Newport Beach, be, and he is hereby designated as the Authorised Representative of said city for the purpose 9f making the necessary and proper application for the funds herein mentioned. I hereby certify that the above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the city of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of August, 19430 by the following vote, to -wit: AYES, COUNCILMEN: �IC: r r NOES, COUNCILMEN: ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: 1 .:
