WHEREAS, DOROTHY R. LUSR, a single woman, has this day

offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $225.00 for Lot
5
13, Block 536, Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as
6
shown on a Map recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous
7
Maps,, records of Orange County,, California; and
8
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price
9
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
11
deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
12
property be sold for the said sum of $225.00; and
13
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15
above described.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
17
sold to the said Dorothy R. Lusk, a single woman, for the sum of
18
$225.00, free and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes
19
for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to conditions, restric-
20
tions and reservations of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk
21
are hereby authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed
22
for said property to the said party upon receipt of the consider -
23
ation above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $56.25 be paid
25
to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
26
of the sale of said real property to Dorothy R. Lusk, a single
27
woman, as her separate property, said sum being a fair and reason-
28
able commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker being
29
a licsased realtor of the City of Newport Beach.

I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
31
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on
the 7th day of September, 1943 by the following vote, to -wit:
