WHEREAS, CLARENCE L. BROWN and LAURA C. BROWN, husband

and wife, have this day offered to the CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the
4
sum of $1500.00 for Lot 10 and Swly 10 feet of Lot 12, Block 136,
5 Re -SuV of
Corona Del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map
6
recorded in Book 4 „ page 67 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of
7
Orange County, California; and
8
WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price as
9
and for the purchase price ofsaid lots; and
10
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City ofNewport Beach
ll
12 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
property be sold for the said sum of $1500.00; and
13
WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
14
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
15
above described.

17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
sold to the said Clarence L. Brown and Laura C. Brown, husband and
18
wife, for the sum of $1500.001 free and clear of all encumbrances,
19
subject to the taxes for the fiscal year 1943 -44. Also subject to
20
conditions, restrictions and reservations of record. The Mayor

and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to execute
22
and deliver a deed for said property to the said parties upon
23
receipt of the consideration above set forth.

25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $150.00 be paid
to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
26
27 of the sale of said real property to Clarence L. Brown and Laura C.
28 Brown, his wife, as joint tenants, said sum being a fair and
reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and said broker
is 29
30 being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Beach.
31 I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
32 1 was duly and regularly passed and a dopted by the City Council of
