Shook, 3 husband and wife as Joint tenante,Mve this day offered to the 4 CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $1,275.00 for Lots 11, 13, and 5 15, Blk. 533, Corona del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as 6 shown on a Map recorded in Book3, Pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous 7 Maps, records of Orange County, California; and 8 WHEREAS, the said price is a fair and adequate price 9 as and for the urchase p price of said lot; and 10 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City ofNewport Beach 11 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said 12 property be sold for the said sum of $1,275.00 and 13 WHEREAS, the price offered is Just, fair and adequate 14 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property 15 above described. 16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property 17 be sold to the said Conrad H. Shook and Nellie V. Shook, husband 18 and wife, as Joint tenants for the sum of $1,275.00 free and , 19 clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal 20 year 1944 -45. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and 21 reservations of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are herby 22 authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for the said 23 property to the said party upon receipt of the consideration above 24 set forth. 25 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $150.00 be 26 paid to Gerald W. Ritchie, as and for his commission for the 27 negotiating of the sale of said real g g property to Conrad H. Shook 28 and Nellie V.
