WHEREAS, John W. Barnett, Jr. and Lois Lee Barnett,

husband and wife as point tenants, have this day offered to the

CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of $425.00 for Lot 7, Block 432,
6
Corona. del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a Map
7
recorded in Book 3, pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps, records
8
of Orange County, California; and
9
WHEREAS the said price is a fair and adequate price
10
as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
11
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
12
deems that it is for the best interests of the City that said
13
property be sold for the said sum of $425,00; and
14

WHEREAS the price offered is dust, fair and adequate
16
and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property above
17
described,

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
19
sold to the said John W. Barnett, Jr. and Lois Lee Barnett,
20
husband and wife as point tenants, for the sum of $425.00, free
21
and clear of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal
22
year 1944_45. Also, subject to conditions, restrictions and
23
reservations of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
24
authroized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for the said
25
property to the said upon receipt of the consideration

above set forth.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $50.00 be
29
paid to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the
30
negotiation of the sale of said real property to John W. Barnett, J3
31
and Lois Lee Barnett, husband and wife as point tenants, the said
32
Isum being a fair and reasonable commission allowed in said sale,

and said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport
Beach.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach, at a regular meeting thereof held on the
5th day of June, 1944, by the following vote, to -wit:
City Clerk.
