RESOLUTION NO. °
1 WHEREAS, Elizah Stickney and Edith M. Stickney,
2 husband and wife as joint tenants, have this day offered to the
3 CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH, the sum of 400.00 for Lot 12, Block 729,
4 Corona Del Mar, in the City of Newport Beach, as shown on a
5 Map recorded in Book 3, Pages 41 and 42 of Miscellaneous Maps,
6 records of Orange County, CAlifornia; and
7 WHEREAS, THE said price is a fair and adequate price
8 as and for the purchase price of said lot; and
9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
10 deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said
11 property be sold for the said sum of 9400.00 and .
12 WHEREAS, the price offered is just, fair and adequate
13 and is not disproportionate to the real value of the property
14 above described.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said property be
16 sold to the said Elizah Stickney and Edith M. Stickney, husband
17 and wife as joint tenants, for the sum of $400.00, free and clear
18 of all encumbrances, subject to the taxes for the fiscal year
19 1944 -45. Also subject to conditions, restrictions and r eserva-
20 tions of record. The Mayor and the City Clerk are hereby
21 authorized and directed to execute and deliver a deed for the
22 said property to the said party upon receipt of the consideration
23 above set forth.
24 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the sum of $50.00 be paid
25 to W. J. Holcomb, as and for his commission for the negotiating
26 of the sale of said real property to Elizah Stickney and Edith M.
27 Stickney, husband and wife as joint tenants, the said sum being
28 a fair and reasonable commission to be allowed in said sale, and
29 said broker being a licensed realtor of the City of Newport Bea
