RESOLUT IOW NO.

4 IMREAS, there has been this day presented to the City
5 Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain instrument, in
6 writing, designated "Amendment to Lease ", and
7 I'MREAS, said instrument so designated, as aforesaid,
8 amends that certain lease dated May 1, 1944, in which the City
9 of Newport Beach leased to South Coast Co., a corporation, certain
10 property in said lease described for a period of one year com-
11 mencing as of the First day of May, 1944, and ending as of the
12 30th day of April, 1945, at a monthly rental of 4262.50 per
13 month, and
14 1 1711EREAS, lessee desires said lease to be amended by the
15 insertion therein of a provision to the effect that said lease
16 may be terminated as of the First day of any calendar month during
17 the term thereof, or any extension thereof, and
18 IMER.EAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
19 believes that it is for the best interests of said City that
20 said lease be amended, and that said amendment is in all respects
21 just, fair and equitable;

23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said instrument
24 designated "Amendment to Lease" is in all respects just, fair and
25 equitable; and
26 BE IT FURTHZR RESOLVED, that the 1"ayor and the City
27 Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
28 authorized, instructed and directed to sign said amendment to
29 lease on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.

31 I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
32 and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
