RESOLUTION NO.
11HEREAS, there has been this day presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain instrument, in
writing, designated "Amendment to Leasef', and
VIH"n;REAS, said instrument so designated, as aforesaid,
amends that certain lease dated March 20, 1944, in which the City
of Newport Beach leased to South Coast Co., a corporation, certain
property in said lease described for a period of one year com-
mencing as of the 20th day of March, 1944, and ending as of the
20th day of L11arch, 1945, at a monthly rental of 1;700.00 per
month, and
TMEREAS, lessee desires said lease to be amended by the
insertion therein of a provision to the effect that said lease
may be terminated as of the 20th day of any calendar month during
the term thereof, or any extension thereof, and
11HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
believes that it is for the best interests of said City that
said lease be amended, and that said amendment is in all respects
just, fair and equitable;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That said instrument
designated "Amendment to Lease" is in all respects just, fair and
equitable; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and the City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorized, instructed and directed to sign said amendment to
lease on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City
