RESOLUTION NO2 'jam VHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain lease dated the 6th day of November, 1944, by and between the City of Newport Beach, as Lessor, and George Vanderbilt, as Lessee; and WHEREAS, said lease provides that Lessor leases to Lessee for a period of twenty -three months, a certain pier known as Pier 2, together with garage and wash -rooms in connection there- with, and located southeasterly of Tract 919 of the City of Newport Beach, for the total rent of $2,208.00; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach deems that it is for the best interests of said City that said lease be given to Lessee for the term above stated, upon the con- ditions and for the consideration therein stated. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed, authorized and instructed to execute said lease in the name of, and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the Lessee therein named. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the above and foregoing resolu- tion was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of November, 1944, by the following vote, to -wit: AYES, COUNC�IjLvDT: �'ay NOES, COUNCILMEN: ABSENT, COUNCILMEN: \ems Q2 �� City . . • ­-pyor
