WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 470
•

Statutes of 1944, (4th Extra Session) appropriated funds for
5
allotment to Local Agencies, defined therein as cities, cities
6
and counties, or counties, for the purpose of aiding in the
7
acquisition of rights of way and sites for certain postwar public
8
works projects in which there is a State interest, all as set
9
forth in said Act; and
10
WHEREAS, Chapter 1455, Statutes of 1945, which amends
11
the aforesaid Act, authorizes a Local Agency to use monies
12
allocated to such Local Agency, under said Act, for acquisition
13
of rights of way and sites, to be transferred and used in pre -
14
paring surveys, plans and specifications for a specific project;
16
and
16
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach, hereinafter
17
called "Local Agency ", has had allocated to it by said Act an
18
allocation for the acquisition of rights of way or sites which
19
allocation contains a sufficient balance to permit Local Agency
20
to apply to the Postwar Public Works Review Board under the
21
aforesaid Act, as amended, for the transfer therefrom of the
22
sum hereinafter mentioned to be added to the amount allocated
23
or assigned to Local Agency for the preparation of surveys,
24
plans and specifications for a specific project as set forth in
26
said Act; and
26
WHEREAS, an application for such transfer has been
27
submitted to this governing body for consideration;
28
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency
29
herein named applies to the Postwar Public Works Review Board
30
pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 47, Statubs of 1944
31
(4th Extra Session) as amended by Chapter 1455, Statutes of

1945, for the transfer of the sum of One Thousand, Nine Hundred
Seven and 55/100 Dollars, (1,907.55) from Local Agency's alloca-
tion for acquisition of rights of way or sites, to be added to
the amount allocated or assigned to Local Agency under said Act for
the preparation of surveys, plans and specifications for a specific
project; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that R. L. Patterson, City
Engineer, is hereby authorized and directed to sign said appli-
cation on behalf of Local Agency and transmit the same to the
Postwar Public Works Review Board and that three certified
copies be forwarded to said Postwar Public Works Review Board.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
3rd day of December, 1945, by the following //vote, to- it.
