RESOLUTION NO. ii l
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach entered into a
Memorandum of Agreement of 1/4 cent gas tax for Streets of
Major Importance with the State of California, Department of
Public Works on January 7, 1946; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer presented to the City
Council on May 27, 1946, a Project Statement requesting the
allocation of all available 1/4 cent gas tax funds for Streets
of Major Importance, for the acquisition of right of way for
widening of Coast Boulevard between 22nd Street and the West-
erly city limits; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to acquire certain right
of way for the widening of Coast Boulevard, a street of major
importance;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City
Engineer is hereby authorized, directed and instructed to make
application on behalf of the City of Newport Beach to the
(Director of Public Works of the State of California, for the
allocation of $8,954.22 of 1/4 cent gas tax funds for the
acquisition of right of way for the widening of Coast Boulevard.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of the
regular
City of Newport Beach at an adjourns mee ng thereof held on the
27th day of May, 1946, by the following vote, to -wit:
