A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH APPOINTING ELECTION OFFICERS AND

DESIGNATING. POLLING PLACES FOR THE MUNICIPAL
ELECTION TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH

ON TUESDAY, THE 9TH DAY OF APRIL, 1946, AND PRO-
VIDING FOR THE OPENING AND CLOSING OF THE POLLS

AND THE COMPENSATION OF ELECTION OFFICERS.

WHEREAS, it is necessary under the law for the City
8
Council of the City of Newport Beach to appoint Boards of Election
9
and to designate the polling places for the municipal election to
10
be held in the City of Newport Beach on Tuesday, the 9th day of
11
April, 1946, and to fix the compensation to be paid to election
12
officers; and
13
WHEREAS, it is also necessary for the City Council of
14
the City of Newport Beach to fix the hours for the opening and
15
closing of the.polls for the municipal election to be held on the
16

9th day of April, 1946;

NOVI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
18
City of Newport Beach that the polling places and the election
19
officers to act at each poling place shall be as follows, to -wit:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the polls shall be open at

six o'clock A. M. of said day, and be kept open continuously until

seven o'clock P. M. thereof, when the polls shall be closed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the voting precincts as

established by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange
32
shall constitute the voting precincts for the municipal election to

be held in the City of Newport Beach on Tuesday, the 9th day of

April, 1946, said voting precincts to be numbered one (1) to

thirteen (13) inclusive, and shall be designated in all proceedings

herein as "Precinot ".

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the above and foregoing Resolution

was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the
