The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, Calif- ornia, pursuant to the provisions of the ^Improvement Act of 1911", being Parts 1, 2 and 3. Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, does resolve as follows: DESCRIPTION OF WORK .SECTION 1. That the public interest and convenience _} require, and that it is the intention of'the City Council of the City of Nevport Beach, California, to order the following work to be done, to -writ: FIRST: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers, vitrified clay pipe chimneys, vitrified clay pipe house connections, vitrified clay pipe wye branches, manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers and appurtenant cork in connection therewith in the following streets and alley s: In OCEAN BOULEVARD • between the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of Carnation Avenue and Goldenrod Avenue, as shorn on -4� sheets No. 2 and 3 of the plans hereinafter referred to; cnd in the first lying southwesterly from Bayview Drive, between Goldenrod - 1 - 1 • Avenue and Iris Avenue, crossing Heliotrope Avenue at its _• intersection with said alley and extending northwesterly across Goldenrod Avenue to connect to manhole No. 9, all as shorn on sheets No. 3 and ¢ of said plans; and in the first ALLEY lying; southwesterly from Seaview Avenue, between Iris Avenue and dasemine Avenue, as shown on sheet Ido. 4 of said plans; and in the first ALLEY lying southwesterly from Seaview Avenue, between Larkspur Avenue and Marguerite Avenue, as shown on plan No. 5 of said plans; and in the first ALLEY lying Southwesterly from Seaview Avenue, between tiarguerite Avenue and Orchid Avenue, crossing Uarigold Avenue and Narcissus Avenue at the intersection of said alley with said Avenues, as shown on sheets No. 5 and 6 of said plans; and in ti`ie first ALLEY lying southwesterly from Seaview Avenue, between orchid Avenue and Poinsettia Avenue, as shorn on sheet No. 6 of said plans; and in HAZEL DRIVE between Coast Boulevard and manhole No. 59 to be constructed hereunder at the southwesterly end of said Hazel Drive, as shown on sheet No. 27 of said plant. • SECOND: The construction of vitrified clay pipe . and welded steel pipe sanitary serer, manholes, cast iron man - hole frames and covers and appurtenant work in connection thererith, in that certain public - 2 - 0 EASUIENT between the existing sever main at 2anhole No. 1 to be con- structed hereunder and manhole No. 3 to be constructed hereunder in the northwesterly side of Carnation Avenue, as shorn on Sheet No. 2 of said plans. THIRD: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary severs, vitrified clay pipe chimneys, vitrified clay pipe house connections, manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in IRIS AVENUE between the southwesterly line of the first alley lying ,south- westerly from Bayview Drive produced southeasterly and the north- easterly line of the first alley lying southwesterly from Sea - viev.Avenue produced northwesterly, as shorn on sheet No. 4 of said plans. FOURTHz The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary setters, manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in JASMINE AVENUE, LARKSPUR AVENUE, MARGUERITE AVENUE, ORCHID AVENUE, and POINSETTIA AVBWUE; between the southeasterly extension and the northwesterly ex- tension of the first alley lying southwesterly from Seaview Avenue at its offset intersections with said Jasmine Avenue, Larkspur Avenue, Marguerite Avenue, Orchid Avenue and Poinsettia Avenue, all as shorn on sheets NOS4 l,, 52 6 and 7 of said plans; and in POINSETTIA AVENUE, ORDRID AVENUE and UA.RIGOLD AVENUE - 3 - • between the southeasterly extension and the northwesterly ex- tension of the first alley lying southwesterly from Coast Boulevard at its offset intersections with said Poinsettia • Avenue, Orchid Avenue and narigold Avenue, all as shorn on sheets No. 9 and 21 of said plans; and in CAMATION AVENUE between the northeasterly line of Seaviev Avenue produced northwesterly and Ocean Boulevard, as shown on sheet No. 2 of said plans; and in the first ALLEY lying. southwesterly from Coast Boulevard, between Marigold Avenue and the first alley lying northwesterly from narigold Avenue, as shorn on sheet No. 21 of said plans. FIFTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer, vitrified clay pipe chimneys, vitrified clay pipe wye branches, manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in the first ALLEY lying southwesterly from Seaview Avenue, between Jasmine Avenue and Larkspur Avenue, as shown on sheet No. 5 of said plans. SIXTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers, vitrified clay pipe house connections, vitri- fied clay pipe crye branches, manholes, cast iron manhole framep and covers and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in the first ALLEY • lying southwesterly from Seavien Avenue, between Poinsettia Avenue and the first alley lying southeasterly from Poinsettia Avenue, as shown on sheet NO. 7 of said plans; and in the first ALLEY lying southwesterly from Seaview Avenue, between Carnation - 4 - a Avenue and the first alley lying southeasterly from Dahlia Avenue, crossing Dahlia Avenue at its intersection with said alley first described, as shown on sheet Ido. 10 of said plans; and in the first lying southeasterly from Poinsettia Avenue, between the first alley lying southwesterly from Seaviev Avenue and the first alley lying southwesterly from Coast Boulevard, crossing Sea - view Avenue at its intersection with said alley first described, as shown on sheet No. 8 of said plans. ELEVENTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer, vitrified clay pipe wye branches, lamphole, manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers, and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in the first ALLEY lying southeasterly from Fernleaf Avenue, between the center line of Shell Street produced southeasterly and a point distant 150 feet northeasterly from the center line of Cove Street produced southeasterly, as shorn on sheet No. 22 of said plans. TWELFTa: The construction of vitrified clay pipe • sanitary sewer, lamphole and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in the northwesterly side of Fernleaf Avenue, between the center line of Cove Street produced southeasterly and a point distant,150 feet northeasterly therefrom, as shown on sheet No. 22 of said plans. THIRTEENTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe - 8 - r . sanitary sewer, vitrified clay pipe cy e branches, lamphole and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in the first • ALLEY lying northeasterly from Cove Street, betvaen Fernleaf Avenue and a point distant 110 feet northwesterly tLerefrom, as shown on Sheet No. 22 of said plans. FOURMENT : The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewers, vitrified clay pipe house connections, vitrified clay pipe chimneys, vitrified clay pipe i7 a breaches, lamphole, manholes, cast iron manhole frame and cover; in the ►,ice in Block 337 of Corona. Del Mar, as per map recorded in Tliscellaneous Map Book 3, pages 41 and 42, records of Orange County, California, and Block I of Tract No. 323, as per map recorded in 11iscellaneous Map Book 14, pages 46 and 41, records of said County, as shown on Sheet No. 24 of said plans. FIFTEENTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe and gelded steel pipe sanitary seder, cement concrete pier supports for gelded steel pipe and appurtenant work in connection therevrith; in BAYSIDE DRIVE along the southwesterly extension of the alley in said Block I of Tract No- 323, connecting With the existing manhole in said Bayside Drive, as shorn on sheet No. 24 of said plans. SIXTEMM: The construction of vitrified clay pipe and melded steel pipe sanitary sewer, vitrified clay pipe house is connection, manhole, cast iron manhole frame and cover, cement concrete pier supports for welded steel pipe and appurtenant Rork in connection therevitit; in the ALLEY in Block 336 of said Corona Del Isar, and extending northeasterly across First Avenue and extending southwesterly into Bayside Drive to connect with an existing manhole, as shoran on sheet No. 25 of said plans. - 9 - _• l 0 r SEVENTEERTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sever, vitrified clay pipe house connection, vitrified clay pipe w a branches, lamphole, manhole, cast iron manhole frame and cover and appurtent work in connection therewith; in OCEAN BOULEVARD between the southeasterly line of Poppy Avenue produced south - westerly and a point distant 175 feet northwesterly from the center line of Poppy Avenue produced southwesterly, as shown on Sheet No. 26 of said plans. EIGHTEENTH: The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer, vitrified clay pipe We branches, manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers; and appurtenant work in connection therewith; in GL ,1411 DRIVE between.the southeasterly line of Poppy Avenue produced south- westerly and the southeasterly prolongation of the northeasterly line of Lot 34s Block A, of Tract No. 673, as per map recorded in 11iscellaneous liap Book 20, pages 17 and /,f . , records of said County, as shown on sleet No. 26 of said plans. HIIdETEMTH: The construction in the intersection of Fernleaf Avenue and Cove Street, of a reinforced concrete pump and pump chamber, together with the installation of pumps, motors, snitch board, conduits, float, cast iron pipes, valves, fittings, equipment and appurte: antes for the pumping of raw sewage, all as particularly shown on sweets numbered 23, 28 and 29 of said plans. Also, in connection with said pump station, the construction of a wselded,rrapped steel pipe pressure line lead- ing from said pump station northeasterly along Fernleaf Avenue and crossing Ocean Boulevard to connect with manhole No. 7 to - 1011- E f. 0 be constructed hereunder, as particularly shown on sheet No. 23 of said plans. Also, in connection with said pump station and said pressure line,.the construction of a rcirforced concrete bocster pump chamber in the southeasterly side of Fernleaf Avenue at its intersection with the first alley lying northeasterly of Cove Street, together with manhole, steel manhole ring and cover, to- gether with the installation of pumps, motors, switch board, conduits, cast iron pipes, valves, fittings and appurtenances for the booster Dumping of sewage from said pump station, all as Dar- titularly shoran on sheets numbered 23, 28 and 29 of said plans. All of the said work and improvement to be done, shall be constructed upon the grades, along the lines, between the points, of the dimensions, at the places and in the manner shown on the plans, profiles and drawings for the construction of sanitary sewers in Coast Boulevard and other streets, alleys and easements, being plan numbered 414, con - sisting of 29 sheets, and Standard Plans numbered 1002, 1003, 1004, 1008, 1050, 1051, 1059 and 1060, on file in the office of The City Engineer of the said City, and except as othervise por- vided for on said plans in furti,er accordance viii: Specifications No. 70 and specifications for the construction of.sanitary servers, said specifications being on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City, and to which plans, profiles, drawings and specifications heretofore approved b the City Council of the said City, reference is hereby made for a further, full and more particular description of the said work, and by reference thereto the same are incorporated herein and made a part hereof. -12- G , R r • DESCRIPTION OF ASSESSUMIT DISTRICT SECTION 3. That the said contemplated work and improve- ment, in the opinion of the said City Council, is of more than local or ordinary public benefit, an!d said City Council hereby makes the expenses of the said soork and improvement chargeable upon a district, vibieh said district said City Council hereby declares to be the district benefited by said work and improve- ment and to be assessed to ?.ay the costs and expenses thereof, and which district is described as follows: All that certain territory of the City of Nes.•port Beach, California,. included within the exterior, boundary line shown upon that certain map or plat numbered 414 -A heretofore approved by the City Council of said City on the 20th day of Uay, 1946, indicating by said boundary line the extent of the territory Included within the proposed assessment district, and the said map or plat is on file in the office of the City Clerk of the said City.
