RESOLUTION NO..
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has this day remised,
released and quitclaimed to Balboa Coves, Inc., a corporation,
all that certain real property described as follows, to -wit:
That portion of that certain right -of -way for a
water pipe line for the conveying of water for domestic
and municipal purposes for the City of Newport Beach,
California, as described in Deed from the Irvine Company
and the La Habra Valley Land and dater Company to Newport
Beach Water Company recorded in Deed, Book 194, page 177,
November 19, 1910, lying Southeasterly of the Easterly
line of that certain Tract of land described in Deed to
the Newport Dredging Company, a corporation, from F. M.
Strobridge and wife, recorded November 25, 1938 in Book
969, page 355 of Official Records of said County of Orange.
WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach that the consideration for
said Quitclaim Deed is fair, just and adequate and that it is
for the best interest of said City and the inhabitants thereof
that said Quitclaim Deed be given to Balboa Coves, Inc., the
corporation aforesaid, for the reason that said Easement has
never been used by the City of Newport Beach and is not now used
by said City, and by reason of said Easement the grantee's
property has been unnecessarily clouded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to execute said Quitclaim
Deed to the Balboa Coves, Inc., a corporation, covering the
property heretofore described, in the name of and on behalf of
the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach at a regular meeting th9" of held on
