RESOLUTION NO.-1 0
WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach has this day remised,
released and quitolaimed to Earl W. Stanley and Mildred Stanley,
husband and wife as joint tenants, all that certain real property
described as follows, to -wit:
That portion of that certain right -of -way for a munio
water pipe line for the conveying of water for domestic and
purposes for the City of Newport Beach, California, as
described in Deed from the Irvine Company and the La
Habra Valley Land and Water Company to Newport Beach
Water Company recorded in Deed, Book 194, page 177,
November 19, 1910, lying between the center line of the
California State Highway right -of -way as described in
Deed of Easement recorded January 11, 1944 in Book 503,
page 364 of Deeds, records of Orange County, and the
Easterly line of that Tract of Land described in Deed
to the Newport Dredging Company, a corporation, from
F. M. Strobridge and wife recorded November 25, 1938
in Book 969, page 355, of Official Records, records of
said County.
WHEREAS, it is the opinion and judgment of the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach that the consideration for
said Quitclaim Deed is fair, just and adequate and that it is
for the best interest of said City and the inhabitants thereof
that said Quitclaim Deed be given to1Earl W. Stanley and Mildred
20 Stanley, husband and wife as joint tenants, for the reason that
21 `said Easement has never been used by the City of Newport Beach
22 and is not now used by said City, and by reason of said Easement

grantees' property has been unnecessarily clouded;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby
authorized, directed and instructed to execute said Quitclaim
Deed to Earl W. Stanley and Mildred Stanley, husband and wife
as joint tenants, covering the property heretofore described,
in the name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
the 3d day of June 1 1946, by the following
