RESOLUTION No3i 5 i" N
IVTIMREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach by the United States of
America a Supplomental Agreement extending the term of a certain
lease covering the following described real property, to-wit:
Those certain parcels of land, partly improved
and partly unimproved, fronting on Newport Bay
and California State Highway, (U. S. Highway
A -101), approximately one mile Southeast of the
junction of Newport Road and California State
Highway in City of Newport Beach, County of
Orange, State of California, as shown on Uap
Drawing No. 1 -329 attached thereto and made a
part thereof and more particularly described as
Parcel No. 1 and Parcel No. 20 together with im-
provomonts thereon,
Containing a total area - land 4.984 acres, -
improvements 5757.35 square feet;
AND WHEREAS, the consideration for said lease is just, fair
and adequate in the judgment of the City Council;
AND VIMREAS, it appears for the best interests and welfare
of the said City and the inhabitants thereof that the Supplemental
Agreement extending a certain existing lease between the City of
Newport Beach and the United States of America, dated the 31st day
of August, 1945, be executed by the said City in favor of the said
United States of America;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVEDt that the Mayor and City Clerk
of said City be and they are hereby authorized# directed and in-
structed to execute said Supplemental Agreement extending the term
of the existing lease with the United States of America, in ref-
erence to the lands heretofore described, in the name of and on be-
half of the City of Newport Beach, and that the requisite number of
copies of tho executed Agreement be sent forthwith by the Clerk of
the City of Newport Beach to the proper agencies of said United
States of America.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
