RESOLUTION OF AWARD OF CONTRACT NO. L Zr52
• RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
NEWPORT BEACH, CIL IFORNIA, AWARDING THE CON-
TRACT FOR THE WORK DESCRIBED IN RESOLUTION OF
RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Newport
Beach, California, having in open session on the /vim {� day
of July, 1946, opened, examined and publicly declared all
sealed proposals or bids for the following work to be done and
improvements to be made in said City, to -wit:
The construction of vitrified clay pipe sanitary
sewers, vitrified clay pipe house connection sewer lines,
manholes, cast iron manhole frames and covers, "Y" branches,
lampholes, welded steel pipe, pump stations, together with
appurtenant work in connection with any and all items of im-
provement hereinabove mentioned, all as more particularly
described in Resolution of Intention No. 33272 passed and
adopted by the City Council of said City on the 20th day of
May, 1946s and on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
City.
For further particulars reference is hereby made to
said Resolution of Intention No. 3327 and to the plans, pro-
files and drawings on file in the office of the City Engineer
of said City of Newport Beach, and the the specifications for
the said work heretofore adopted by the said City Council and
on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City, and all
of said plans, profiles, drawings and specifications hereto-
fore approved by the City Council of said City are incorpor-
ated herein and made a part hereof and reference is hereby
• made thereto for a more particular description of said work.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
the contemplated work and improvement heretofore mentioned

• was in the opinion of said City Council of mare than local or
ordinary public benefit and the said City Council has made
the expenses of said work chargeable upon a district. For
the particular description of the said district reference is
hereby made to said Resolution of Intention No. 3327.
Said City Council has determined and declared that
serial bonds bearing interest at the rate of six (6%) per cent
per annum and extending over a period ending nine (9) years
from the second day of January next succeeding the next October
15th following their date, will be itsued hereunder in the
manner provided by the «Improvement Act of 19111', being Part
5, Division 7 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State
of California, to represent each assessment of Twenty -Five
(625.00) Dollars or more remaining unpaid for thirty (30) days
after the date of the warrant.
All of the work herein m dered shall be done and
carried through in pursuance of an act of the Legislature
of the State of California, designated the °Improvement Act
of 191111, being parts 1. 2 and 3 of Division 7 of the Streets
and Highways Code.
Said City Council hereby rejects all of the said pro-
posals or bids, except the next hereinafter mentioned, and
hereby awards the contract for the said work and improvement

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Newport Beach, Californiay at an adjourned regular meeting
