RESOLUTION NO.!Lll "\
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
:il of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement dated the 19tL
of August , 1946, between the City of Newport Beach, therein re-
ferred to as the "City ", and Sully - Miller Contracting Company, a
fornia Corporation, therein referred to as the "Oontraotor"; and
WHEREAS, said agreement provides that the City has awarded
to the Contractor a contract for the furnishing of all required la-
bor, material, transportation, plant, tools and services for the
rough grading, sub- grade, and surfacing of the Beach Auto Parking
Lot in the City of Newport Beach, for the prices set forth in the
Contractor's Proposal on file in the office of the City Clerk; and
WHEREAS, said agreement specifically sets forth the terms,
conditions and prices for the doing of said work; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
that it is for the best interests of said City that said contract be
cuted, and that the work therein specified be done by the Con-
tractor upon the terms and conditions therein specified;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City
Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be, and they are hereby directed,
authorized and instructed to execute said agreement on behalf of the
City of Newport Beach, and that a duly executed copy thereof be de-
livered by the City Clerk to the Contractor.
