RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT
BEACH FIXING THE DATE AND TIME OF REGULAR COUNCIL

MEETINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SAID CITY.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach

has heretofore fixed the first Monday of each month at the hour
7
of four o'clock P. M. of said day, for the holding of regular meet -
8
ings of the City Council of said city; and
9
WHEREAS, it would better meet with the convenience of a
10
majority of the members of the City Council to hold said regular
11
meetings on the second Monday of each month hereafter at the
12
hour of four o'clock P. M. of said day; and
13
WHEREAS, the holding of said regular meetings of the
14
City Council of the City of Newport Beach at four o'clock P. M.
15
on the second Monday of each month hereafter will enable the
16
members of the City Council and the officials of the City of New-
17
port Beach to properly audit the demands filed with the City of
18
Newport Beach, and to make payment of such demands as may be
19
presented before said second Monday of the month as aforesaid; and
20
WHEREAS, the City Council does not desire to hold its
21
meetings on legal holidays, as it isgcbnvenient so far as the
22
city officials are concerned, and the general public desiring to
23
attend said meetings;
24
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the regular meetings
25
of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach shall, from and
26
after the passage of this resolution, be held on the second
27
Monday of each month hereafter, at the hour of four o'clock P. M.

of said day, at the Council Chambers of the City Council of the
•
29
City of Newport Beach located in the City Hall of the City of
30
Newport Beach, except where said regular meeting day falls on a
31
legal holiday, and in the event said regular meeting day shall
32
fall on a legal holiday, then said regular meeting shall be held

was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of

regularly adopted, passed, and approved by the City Council of
the City of Newport Beach, California, at a regular meeting of
said City Council held at the regular meeting place thereof, on
