RESOLUTION NO -n*
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the
City Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain lease dated
April 1, 1947, by and between the City of Newport Beach, a
municipal corporation, as party of the first part, and the
South Coast Company, a corporation, as party of the second part;
and
7HEREAS, said lease provides that the party of the
first part leases to the party of the second part certain tide-
lands and uplands abutting thereon, located in the City of
Newport Beach, Orange County, California, for industrial pur-
poses, all as in sand agreement of lease specified, for the term
of five (5) years from and after the date of the execution of
said lease, for the rental and upon the terms and conditions
as in said lease specifically set forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
deems that it is for the best interests of said City and the
inhabitants thereof that said lease be entered into with the said
party of the second part upon the terms, conditions and for the
rental therein specified.
NOSI, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the Yayor and
City Clerk d'f the City of Newport Beach be, and they are, hereby
instructed, directed and authorized to execute said lease in the
name of and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the
City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy thereof to the party of
the second Dart therein named.
I hereby certify that the above and foregoing Resolution
was duly and regularly passed and adopted by the City Council of
