RESOLUTION NO.��'
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain Agreement of
Lease between the City of Newport Beach, a municipal corpor-
ation, as party of the first part, and theroin referred to as
"City ", and The Balboa Angling Club, a California corporation,
of Balboa, California, party of tiie second part, and therein
referred to as the "Angling Club "; and
''HEREAS, said lease providoa that the party of the
first part leases to the party of the second part certain tide-
lands and uplands abutting thereon, located in the 01ty of
Nei.port Beach, 0=an;e County, California, in said lease more
particularly described, for a term of ten (10) years commencing
as of the first day of May, 1947, for the rental and upon the
terms and conditions as in said lease specifically set forth; and
'."HEF.EAS, in the opinion and ju<Igmeat of Lhe City
Council of said Newport Beach the consideration offered for said
lease by The Balboa Angling Club, is in all respects fair, just
and adequate; and
191ERF,AS1 it is further the judgment and opinion of
the City Council of said City of Newport Beach -that it is for
the best interest of said city and the inhabitants thereof that
said lease be granted.
NOWT THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED; That the 1�ayor and the
City Clerk of the City.of Netrport Beach be, and they are, horeby
instructed, directed and authorized to execute said leaso in
duplicate in the name of end on behalf of the City of Iiewport
Beach, and that the City Clerk deliver a duly executed copy
thereof to the Angling Club and that the other executed copy
thereof be filed in the records in the office of the City Clerk
