RESOLUTION N0. d i J IN
WHEREAS, there has this day been presented to the City
Council of the City of Newport Beach a certain agreement of ex-
change, dated the 12th day of September, 1947, wherein the City of
Newport Beach has agreed to exchange the Northwesterly 65 feet
of Lots 22 and 23 in Block 133 of Lake Tract, City of idermort
Beach, California; for the Southeasterly 30 feet of Lots 21
and 24 in Block 133 of Lake Tract, City of Newport Beach, Cali-
fornia; and
WHEREAS, the property belonging to the City of Newport Beach
is valued in such exchange at $1625.00, and the property for which
they intend to exchange is valued at $1150.00; and
WHEREAS, Cal II. Fuller and Dolores L. Fuller, husband and
wife, are the owners of the property which said City intends to
exchange for, and said owners have agreed to pay to said City the
difference between the values in the sum of $475.00; and
WHEREAS, the City needs said property owned by Cal E. Fuller
and Dolores L. Fuller, husband and wife, for the widening of
Coast Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council believes that the considerations
mentioned in said exchange are fair, dust and adequate, and that
it is for the best interests of said City and the inhabitants
thereof that said exchange be made;
NOVI THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk
of the City of Newport Beach be authorized, directed and instruct
to sign said exchange agreement dated the said 12th day of
September, 1947, wherein the City of Newport Beach is therein re-
ferred to as First Party, and Cal 11. Fuller and Dolores L. Fuller,
husband and wife, are therein designated Second Party; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when said exchange agreement
has been signed that the same be deposited by the City Clerk as
escrow instructions for the exchange of the properties herein
