L. Ward and Pattie B. Ward, husband and wife, as joint tenants, that certain real property situate in the City of Newport Beach, County of Orange, State of California, and described as follows, to -wit: and, Lot Two in Block One Thirty -eight of River Section, Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California. Subject to covenants, conditions, reservations, restrictions and rights of way of record. Subject also to taxes for fiscal year 1947 -1948, not yet payable. WHEREAS, the consideration to be received for said deed from the said R. L. Ward and Pattie B. Ward, husband and wife, is the granting to the City of Newport Beach, free and clear of all en- cumbrance, of all that certain real property situate in the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, California, and described as fol- lows: Lot One in Block One Thirty -eight of River Section, Newport Beach, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 4, page 25 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California. and, WHEREAS, the City of Newport Beach needs said property last described for the purpose of widening Coast Boulevard in the City of Newport Beach, Orange County, California; and WHEREAS, the consideration offered for said lands first LAW OFFICES OF __ .0 TMOMPSON le _ SFUHGEON BLDG. _` -S ANA. CALIF. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14' 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 above described to the City of Newport Beach is in the opinion and judgment of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, fair, just and adequate and not disproportionate to its actual market value; and WHEREAS, it is the Opinion and judgment of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach that it is for the beat interests of said City that said land be conveyed by said City to R. L. Ward and Pattie B. Ward, husband and wife, as joint tenants, for the consideration herein set forth; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Newport Beach be authorized, directed and instruct- ed to execute said deed for and on behalf of the City of Newport Beach, and that the same be immediately recorded when title shall be brought down on the property owned by R. L. Ward and Pattie B. Ward, husband and wife, showing the same to be clear and free of all encumbrances, except taxes for the fiscal year 1947 -1948, not yet due or payable.
