The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pursuant the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941 ", a_.proved May 13, 19411 Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amendments thereto, bein Division 9, Part 3, Chapters 2 and 3, Sections 8320 to 8331, in- clusive, Streets and Highways Code, does hereby ordain, resolve and declare as follows: SECTION Is That the public interest and convenience the closing up and abandonment of portions of Ocean Front in the City of Newport Beach, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach to order the following described portions of Ocean Front in said City to be vacated, closed up and abandoned, to -wit: Those certain parcels of land, being portions of Ocean Front, as shown upon a map of Seashore Colony Tract recorded in Miscellaneous Maps, Book 7, page 259 Records of Orange County, California, which said par - eels are more particularly described as follows, to -wit: PARCEL NO. 1: Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 1, Block A of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence northwesterly along the northeasterly line of said Ocean Front to the most westerly corner of Lot 69 Block A of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, southwesterly along the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of said Lot 6 to a point, said point lying in a line parallel with and distant 10.00 feet measured at right angles from said northeasterly line Y of Ocean Front; thence so theasterly along said parallel line to its intersection with the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 6; thence southwesterly along said southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 6, to a point, said point lying in a line parallel with and distant 15.00 feet measured at right angles from said northeasterly line of Ocean Front; thenc southeasterly along said parallel line to its intersection with the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 1; thence, northeasterly along said line of prolongation to the point of beginning. !e • 1 2 3 4 5 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 PARCEL N0, 2: Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 2, Block B of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, northwesterly along the northeasterly line of said Ocean Front to the most westerly corner of Lot 3, Block B of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, southweste along the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of said Lot 3 to a point, said point lying in a line parallel with and distant 15.00 feet measured at right angles from said northeasterly line of Ocean Front; thence, southeasterly along said parallel line to its intersection with the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 2; thence northeasterly along said line of prolongation to the point of beginning PARCEL NO. 3: Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 5, Block B of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, northwesterly along the northeasterly line of said Ocean Front to the most westerly corner of said Lot 5• thence southwesterly along the southwesterly prolongation of the northwesterly line of said Lot 51 to a point, said point lying in a line parallel with and distant 15.00 feet measured at right angles from said northeasterly line of Ocean Front; tnece, southeasterly along said parallel line to its intersection with the southwesterly prolongation of the southeasterly line of said Lot 5; thence, northeasterly along said line of prolongation to the point of beginning. PARCEL NO. 8a Beginning at the most southerly corner of Lot 11 Block F of said Seashore Colony Tract; thence, nort westerly along the northeasterly line of said Ocean Front the most westerly corner of Lot 3, Block F of said Seashor Colon,: Tract; thence, southwesterly along the southwesterl prolongation of the northwesterly line of said Lot 31 to a point, said point lying in a line parallel with and distan 15.00 feet measured at right angles from said northeasterl line of Ocean Front; thence, southeasterly along said parallel line to its intersection with the the southwester prolongation of the southeasterly lire of said Lot 1; ther northeasterly along said line of prolongation to the point of beginning. All portions of said street to be vacated, closed up and abandoned, are more clearly shown on a certain map approved nd an adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach for said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by Resolution dated October 1947 and designated "Resolution No. 3541.11 Reference is hereby made for further particularls as to proposed vacation, closing up, and abandonment of said portions oi said street, toxt said map, and said map is made a part of this Resolution to the same extent and purpose as if the same were hero incorporated in full. SECTION 2: That the proceedings fob bheclosing up and abandonment of the aforesaid portions of said street s all be had and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach elect to proceed under the provisions of the "Str *et Vacation Act of 19� approved May 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amendments thereto, being Division 9, Part 3, Chapters 2 and 3, Sections 8320 to 8331 inclusive, Streets and Highways Code. Y 0 0 n� 1 • 2 • 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 SECTION 1: The Street Superintendent of the City of Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of the portions of the street proposed to be vacated, not more than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in�all, noticies of the vacati, of said portions of said street. Said notices shall state the passage of this "esolution of intention and the time and place of the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to tLe pro vacation of said portions of said street, all as required by law. SECTION 4: Notice is here'-;- given that the City Council of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Monday, the 24th day of iiovember, 1947, at the hour of 4 o'clock P.M. of said day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach, located in the City Ball in the City of Newport Beach, as the time and place for hearing all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation of said portions of said street. And the said City Counc at said time and place will hear the evidence offered by any persc interested in the vacation of said portions of said street here- tofore described. SECTION 61 This Resolution of Intention shall be pub- lished at least once in the Newport- Balboa News - Times, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the Ci- of Newport Beach, and said publication shall be made before the da+ set for the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation. The above and foregoing Resolution of Intention No. 3542 was passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Newport Beach, held on the 27th day of October, 1947, by the foll ing vote, to -wits AYES, COUIXILIZN: ALLEN) SILERS, ISDELL, ROBERTSON REED.
